Shelbyville's first-ever submission for the Umbrella Prints Trimmings competition!
From this itty bitty pack that arrived in the mail:
With all these delicious looking fabric trimmings inside:
To make this, a set of miniature stationery pieces nestled within a vintage cigar box, including tiny handbound books, cute folded-fabric envelopes, a notecard set, pencils, and paperweights:
Lots and lots and lots of teeny stationery pieces...!
Like these five handstitched books, made using a variety of bookbinding styles (longstitch, French longstitch, pamphlet stitch, Japanese stab binding):
And this teeny notelet set with an embroidery card and fabric-lined envelope, with a chunky longstitched notebook to match:
And a couple of teeny envelopes made from fabric:
Alongside some fabric-wrapped pencils (thanks Ikea for the little wooden pencils...):
And a teeny fabric-wrapped matchbox holding five teeny coloured pencils:
And a handful of teeny houses made from clay (and one old Monopoly hotel!) and fabric bits:
Here is the whole shebang laid out on a clean white background, no distractions ;)
And a couple more pics to show you the teeny scale of these handstitched books...
My favourite, the little wrap-around notebook, with a vintage typewriter key closure (U for Umbrella Prints of course!):
And everything all tucked up back into the sweet little cigar box:
