It's the first Sunday of the month tomorrow, and that means another Suitcase Rummage market being held at Reddacliff Place (outside Brisbane Square library and opposite the Treasury Casino). It also means Shelbyville will be packing a couple of suitcases and setting up stall again for another fun day of market action!
Last month's Suitcase Rummage was a tinsy bit rainy, but tomorrow's weather report promises a fine and sunny day with a top of 24 degrees - sounds good to me!
And before I head off to make a few more last-minute bits and pieces for the stall, here's some wonderful pics I found on Pinterest in the spirit of 'suitcase love'... It's amazing the creative things you can do with a few old suitcases...
Suitcase drawers (oh my God, I love these!)
And an assortment of other homeware ideas like a plush suitcase chair...
...or just a good old sculptural stack (plus cute storage too!)
Photo prop for precious poppets...
A handy storage solution for stationery...
Or perhaps you're into making suitcase characters and critters?
Or going hardcore with a suitcase tattoo
Maybe a suitcase town is more your thing
Check this out: an entire WALL of suitcase storage gloriousness..!!!
And my absolute favourite: a miniature suitcase library :) LOVE!
I have plenty more of these crazy suitcase pics, but if you're really into this kind of stuff, definitely head over to Pinterest, open yourself up an account (or find a friend who can invite you onto the site), and browse to your heart's content (i.e. search term "suitcase" is a good start) while filling up 'boards' of gorgeous visuals. Be prepared to lose yourself in an inspirational vortex of time though...!! Pinterest is seriously addictive ;)
