next Brisbane bookbinding class - Saturday 4th September

 

Just a quick post to mention the bookbinding class I'm holding next Saturday 4th September while I'm up in Brisbane for the week.

The Design College of Australia (DCA) has again kindly offered the use of their workshop/classroom as the venue for the bookbinding class, which is terrific because they are conveniently located in the Valley, and the daylight-filled space is lovely to work in!

These are all the finer details about the class:

Book type:

Softcover, leatherbound, hand-sewn notebook made from recycled leathers and paper. Your choice between either an A6-sized book (2-piece cover) or a miniature book with closing tab (single-piece cover).

Saturday 4th September

1-5pm

Length of class:

Approx 3-4 hours

Cost:

$65 per person, includes all the bookbinding materials, and templates + instructions to take home along with your handmade book.

I'm such a fan of letterpress printing, and the DCA’s new letterpress workshop is incredible. I wish I was in Brisbane long enough to do the 5-wk workshop…!
