The leather's been measured and cut-to-size and neatly stacked. The reels of different-coloured bookbinding threads are ready to go. Brand-new packs of needles have been sourced. The arsenal of bookbinding tools are packed. Just the paper to purchase and prepare tomorrow, and the instructions/template sheets to print and collate, and I'll be all set for this weekend's bookbinding classes in Sydney..!
The RSVP response to July's class was huge, so I'm now running two classes: one on Saturday (10th July), and the other on Sunday (11th July). And if you're keen, I do still have a few spots left in Saturday's class. Drop me an email if you'd like more details:
It's short notice, but if you can make it on Saturday, I'd love to have you in the class.
a Melbourne class next month?
And in other good news, I'm heading down to beautiful Melbourne in early August, and have tentatively planned to hold a bookbinding class on the afternoon of Sunday the 8th August..! If you're interested in coming along to a class (or think you know someone who might be) please send me an email to the address shown above and once everything's confirmed, I'll reply with all the details.
As yet I haven't worked out a venue to hold said bookbinding class, so if you have ideas about a suitable location (with enough table space to accommodate 16 bookbinders for a class that's about 4 hours long) please drop me a line - I'd love to hear from you!
For details and pics from previous classes in Sydney and Brisbane (click on the word links). The cost and time details will likely be the same, just the location to work out ;)
But for now I better get going - I've Melbourne adventures to plan...!!
Feel free to leave suggestions in the comments box. I always love to hear about anything new and as yet unexperienced that's popped up in Melbourne since I was there last...
