This blog post is dedicated to the lovely Georgi Lewis, who along with her friend Paul Hagger, submitted sets of gorgeous photos to the One Hour Photos exhibition (and who has since been asking when she'll get to see photos of the exhibition and opening...).
Because Georgi is (now) in Melbourne and Paul is in Brisbane, neither were able to come along to the opening night of the exhibition - so for you guys, here are a couple of random photos that DD took on the night:
^ I gave a little spiel about the One Hour Photos event, and must admit the multiple cameras papparazzi-style were a tad distracting...
I'm still waiting for a copy of the rest of the photos (and videos!!) that were taken on the Vibewire cameras, so I'll be sure to update this post when I receive them.
I'm pleased to say that the opening went really well, with a nicely eclectic mix of people who turned up to view the matrix of photos, compare favourites, comment on some of the more creative interpretations, and to cast their votes for People's Choice.
One Hour Photos exhibition - now continues until early April 2010
If you happen to be in the Ultimo area between now and the early weeks of April, the One Hour Photos exhibition will continue on for a few more weeks, so please feel free to drop in to Vibewire to view the photos and fill out a voting form yourself. Vibewire is open normal business hours during the week, and quite often evenings and weekend days too - call Vibewire on (02) 9660 6591 to doublecheck times.
Thanks again to everyone who submitted photos, to those who came along to the opening night, to everyone who offered their support and encouragement along the way, and especially to Vibewire for providing the space and opportunity that allowed it all to happen.
One Hour Photos was a true labour of love, and a whole lot of fun (and blu-tacking) and wouldn't have been possible without the generosity and enthusiasm of all you fellow urban photographers and adventurers.
Thanks guys!
Michelle

Can you vote for yourself? Is that in poor taste? Thanks Michelle. A long time coming! Congratulations.
