Interested in making your own books? Would you like to learn a variety of different bookbinding techniques, in a friendly class setting, with materials provided and instructions that you can take home with you?

If you'd like to get in early and RSVP for any of these classes, or would just like to know more information about any of the classes, please send an email at any time to:
Classes are approx 4 hours in length (1-5pm Sunday afternoon) and cost $65 per person. All materials are provided, as are full instructions and templates that you can take home with you at the end of the class, along with your new handmade books.
In 2010, I'm holding the Sydney classes in the NSW Bookbinders Guild workshop space in Rozelle, where we'll have access to all the bindery's facilities. Bonus! The Bookbinders Guild is a wonderful resource/group to be a part of, and annual memberships are available if you'd like ongoing access to the bindery workshop and equipment (and library!), which is great if the class leads you to discover a new-found affinity for bookbinding.
I'm a big advocate of the Bookbinders Guild, and wish more (younger) people knew of its existence!
Might I also mention that the bindery workshop has a couple of resident letterpress machines, and the Guild are planning to run a beginner's class in letterpress printing during the year! Will keep you posted when I find out more details... ;)
