So, do you think you'd like to take part in a photography adventure?
All you need to do is print out the flyer below (which has the instructions + topics), and in your own time, go for a wander in an interesting urban location and take a photo for each of the 10 topics listed, based on your interpretation and the photo opportunities you find along the way.
And when you have your ten photos, email them to me before the end of December as I'll be compiling the submitted entries into an exhibition to be held in the Vibewire space (in Ultimo, Sydney) during January 2010.
So far, from the Street Photography workshop we held a couple of weekends ago, we have received 7 sets of photos, but ideally we'd need about 20-30 to fill out the intended One Hour Photos exhibition. So if you have a spare hour or two, we'd love you to join in on the photography adventure :)
No previous experience necessary, the One Hour Photos adventure is open to all ages and levels of photographic ability. Any type of camera equipment is fine: digital, film, camera phones, toy cameras, whatever. Your photos can be in any format (landscape or portrait).
However, when emailing your 10 photos, can you please reduce the size of the files so that they're under 500kb each. Ideally send as jpeg files with a decent resolution - around 200dpi - as they'll be printed at a physical size of 4"x 6" for the exhibition.
The One Hour Photos exhibition is booked in for January at the Vibewire arts space on Harris St in Ultimo. I'll soon be posting the opening night details here on Shelbyville (anyone who submits photos will also receive an email with all the necessary details). More info about Vibewire, its facilities, and all the cool things it does in and around the social/creative community can be found over here, http://vibewire.org/.

This will be the fourth photography adventure I've run and exhibited, so I thought you might like to see some pics of previous exhibitions.
I designed the layout so that the photos are exhibited as a big grid, allowing viewers to read across for a participant's full set of photos, or to read down to see everyone's interpretation of each of the topics.

There's something quite fun in seeing how other people interpret the same topics and therefore comparing your own photos with those found/composed by others who've been let loose in the city with a focused goal of collecting 10 photos.
It's great fun, and easy too, so I hope you've been inspired to have a go at it!
Here's a PDF file if it's easier for you to download + print:
